Today is the big day of our Nuchal Scan, I woke the kids up and got them dressed, Bryce said he wasn't feeling well so I check his temp. YIKES He has a fever, he can't go to school today like this. So I decided to just bring him with me. I picked up N & J and told them there was a slight chnage in plans that I would be taking Bryce with us, they agreed that it was a good idea. We took the girls to my friend Ang's house, introduced N & J to her and left the girls in her care.
We headed up to Cary, NC for the scan, we finally got there and I had to fill out some paperwork. Then we were called back into the U/s room, N & J asked the doctor some questions, then I chimed in with will we be able to see the sex today? He said that if the baby was in the "perfect" place, we would be able to get a glimpse of what the baby could be. So he started doing the scan and everything was looking really good, then he let N & J hear the baby's heartbeat. They were just so excited, It was awesome to see them looking at their child for the very first time. Shortly after that the doctor started looking down between the babies legs and then he pointed to something and said see that and then he put up "Its a BOY!!" on the screen and they were both so excited. Bryce was just looking at the baby in Awe, although this is his not his first ultrasound, he was in awe to. He later told me how "cool" it was that I was having a baby for someone else.
We got done with the Ultrasound and headed upstairs to NCCRM to get the blood test done (5 drops of blood on a card, one drop per circle.) Then we headed back to Ang's house. On the way home, Bryce started getting sicker, so I dropped him and J off at the House, gave Bryce some more meds and sent him to bed.
N & I went to go get the girls, and pick up some lunch before they had to head back to the airport. We had a wonderful visit with them, and listening to them tell their family all about it was so awesome. They were all so excited. Especially N's Dad he was so cute, he about made us cry. I feel very blessed to be helping them bring their child into the world. Here are a few pictures.
